Are You Aware That Lanre Gentry Was Married To Nollywood’s Star, Bimbo Akinsanya Before Mercy Aigbe Got Pregnant For Him?

Not many of her fans know that Lanre Gentry was married to another Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akinsanya before Mercy Aigbe got pregnant for him.

Information from a reliable source indicates that Mercy Aigbe-Gentry who was recently battered by Lanre Gentry, was married to an Igbo man and had a beautiful daughter for him, but the union couldn’t stand the test of time as it crashed few years later.

Mercy was tagged a husband snatcher after she got pregnant for Lanre Gentry who was then married to Bimbo Akinsanya.

Mercy and Lanre officially tied the knots at the Ikoyi Registry in 2013 but have been living together as man and wife before then.

In 2011 Mercy Aigbe said in an interview…

“THERE IS NO PROBLEM BECAUSE MY LYALE (FIRST WIFE) BIMBO AKINSANYA DOESN’T EVEN LIVE IN NIGERIA. SHE LIVES IN THE US WITH HER KIDS, AND SHE HARDLY COMES AROUND. IN NIGERIA, I’M THE ONLY WIFE AND SHE IS LIKE A SENIOR AUNTY TO ME. IT IS PEOPLE OUTSIDE THAT CREATE PROBLEM, WHEN THERE IS NO PROBLEM. SHE HAS LIVED ABROAD ALL HER LIFE; SHE HARDLY COMES HOME. SHE IS EVEN HAPPY I’M MARRIED TO HER HUSBAND. SHE IS LIKE A BIG AUNTY WE TALK ALL THE TIME” (WWW.NAIJAN.COM)

After being robbed of her marriage, by a fellow actress, Bimbo Akinsanya decided to move on with her life and let Mercy Aigbe enjoy the same man that used to be her loving husband.

Bimbo later remarried a few years later. To double her blessing, the script interpreter welcomed her first child with the new hubby, Ayoola Adewale, in June 2015; few months after her wedding.

The baby was born in India, with an additional head attached to its stomach as well as the separate appendage, which has no ears and eyes due to being partly developed. The infant also has a third hand.
Doctors fully expect to remove the extra limbs in an operation at the Ram Snehi Hospital, in Jahazpur, very soon. It’s 21-year-old mom presented herself to doctors after experiencing pain during her pregnancy.

She was immediately referred for a sonography scan and an ultrasound to check the health of her unborn child. Tests revealed that the child would be born with extra limbs, which could be a sign of a parasitic twin.

Dr Vijiyeta Garg, a gynaecologist who looked after the woman, assured the family that both mother and child could be saved. However, her 24-year-old husband insisted that her life was a priority and the baby should come second. After a successful Caesarean section, the family were relieved that both managed to survive.

Despite moves by friends and relatives to mend fences between Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and her hotelier husband, Lanre Gentry, who allegedly battered her last week, the actress has reported the assault to the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs for justice.

The New Telegraph on Sunday reported that she had taken the matter to the Lagos State Government for investigation.

A top official in the ministry revealed that the matter has been brought to the attention of the body; stressing it is a matter of urgency due to the mandate given to the ministry by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to crack down on domestic violence especially against women.

“I am commenting on this based on your manner of approach, so please I’d like my privacy to be respected. Truely, the case is with us here.
Mercy Aigbe, it was learnt, personally reported the assault, and because of the governor’s zero tolerance for domestic violence, we are as a matter of urgency investigating the whole drama. It is a good thing that it has also been brought to the public eye.
“We’re still very much on top of the matter and we’ll get it to its logical conclusion,” he said.

A human rights activist, Esther Ijewere, who was the first to render help to the actress, stressed that there is no justification for domestic violence.
The actress had allegedly tried to mend the cracks in her marriage since last year but was said to be physically abused by her husband recently and is recuperating at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.

The fire at the palace of the Oba of Lagos on Tuesday has nothing to do with the Lagos’ monarch’s relationship with the Ooni of Ife, an official has said.
The spokesperson of the Ooni’s palace, Moses Olafare, said the Ife monarch, Enitan Ogunwusi, is unhappy with the fire incident.

“We are not happy over the fact that the palace of Lagos king got burnt, we can only sympathise with the palace on the development,” he said.
We reported the fire incident at the Lagos monarch’s palace. The fire occurred about one week after a video showed the Lagos monarch, Rilwan Akiolu, snub the Ooni.
There have been rumours on social media that Tuesday’s fire was caused by the snub, reports denied by Mr. Olafare.
“People are entitle to their own views,” he said. “But what people say doesn’t mean that is the position of the palace.”
“What happened is mere coincidence and should not be traced to the incident in Lagos, we send our sympathies,” he added.

Lagos is NOT Yoruba Land, It was Founded By Oba Of Benin's son - Oba Akiolu

Modern-day Lagos was founded by Prince Ado, the son of the Oba of Benin, Prince Ado was the First Oba of Lagos, the son of the Bini King, Prince Ado, named the town Eko until the Portuguese explorer Ruy de Segueira changed the Maritime town to Lagos, which at that time from 1942 was Portuguese expedition center down the African Coast.Read more after cut....

It was a major center of the slave trade until 1851. Lagos was annexed by Britain via the Lagos treaty of cession in 1861, ending the consular period and starting the British Colonial Period. The remainder of Modern-day Nigeria was seized in 1886, when the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria was established in 1914 Lagos was declared its Capital due to the struggle of the Bini King.

Lagos experienced growth pro to the British Colonial rule and even more rapid growth during the Colonial rule throughout the 1960s, 70s, continued through the 80s and 90s till date. Thanks to the Awori's, Bini's, Yoruba's, migrants across the Nation and World at large, as no particular group of people can take the Glory alone.
Lagos is made up of Lagoons and creeks. The Lagos lagoon, Lagos Harbour, five cowne creeks. Ebute-Metta creeks, Porto-Novo creeks, New canal, Badagry creeks, Kuramo waters and Light house creeks.

The Awori's and Bini's are known to be the first settlers of the Eko Land. The Awori's are speakers of a distinct dialect close to that of the Yoruba Language with a rich Bini mixture. Traditionally, Awori's were found in Ile-Ife, they were known to be the Bini's who followed their self exiled Prince, the first son of the Ogiso (now called Oba) of Benin Kingdom, whose Step-Mother was after his head.
The Exiled Benin Prince Izoduwa known to the Yoruba's as Ooduwa (Oduduwa) was made ruler of the Ife people due to his Powers and followers from the Great Benin-Kingdom.

Izoduwa (Ooduwa) was made the First King of Ile-Ife in 1230 AD. His followers from his father's Kingdom in Benin are the today's Awori people who settled in Eko now called Lagos.
In the 1300, the King of Benin-Empire heard from one of his traders who was a settler in Eko on how the Bini's were treated by the Awori's who lived in their area. Upon hearing this the King of Benin commanded the assembling of a War expedition, lead by his Son Prince Ado, which headed the settlement of the Awori's and demanded and explanation.

On arriving Eko, Prince Ado and his Army were more than received. The Awori's asked the Bini Prince to stay and become their leader. Ado agreed on the condition that they surrender their sovereignty to the Oba of Benin, to which the people agreed.Hearing this, the King of Benin gave his permission for Prince Ado and the expedition to remain in Eko.
The Oba of Benin sent some of his chiefs including the Eletu, Odibo, Obanikoro and others to assist his son Oba Ado in the running of Eko. From the crowing of Prince Ado as the First Oba of Lagos (then called Eko) Lagos served as a major center for Slave- trade from which the Awori's, the Oba of Benin and his son the Oba of Lagos and all the children/descendants who took over as his successors for over four centuries supported the trade.

The Oba of Benin was head of the Benin-Empire which are present day Western, Southern and Eastern Modern- day Nigeria.
The King never obliged anyone to speak the Bini language as he believed everyone was entitled to their own choice of language.
The name Eko was given to it by the First King of Lagos Oba Ado, the young and vibrant Prince from Benin. Eko was the Land now known as Lagos Island, where the king Palace was built. The palace is called IDUNGARAN meaning "palace built on pepper farm" Oba Ado and the Warriors from Benin together with the early Bini's settlers in Eko and the Awori people settled in the Southern part of Eko called "Isale Eko". "Isale literally means bottom ". Must have been used to indicate downtown (as in downtown Lagos)

Until the coming in of the Benin's 1300AD, Lagos geographical boundary was Lagos mainland, Lagos Island, the seat of the Oba of Lagos then consisted of a pepper farm and fishing post. No one was living there.
About 1450 AD some Yoruba's who hailed from Isheri in Ogun-State and Ekiti were allowed by the King to settle in Eko during a war, they came in very large numbers thereby surpassing the numbers of the Awori's and Bini's. (Hence Yorubas claim to own Eko due to their numbers).
Oba Ado fell in-love with a beautiful woman whose father was Awori and mother a daughter to one of the chief, they had two sons and also a daughter Erelu Kuti, who begat Ologun Kutere who later became King.

Oba Akintoye descendant of Prince Ado whose mother was the First Queen from Awori ascended the throne as Oba of Lagos in 1841, he attempted to ban Slave-trade with the help of the British, but the Local merchant, the Awori's, Bini's and a few Yoruba's who was already integrated and married to Awori's and Bini's strongly opposed the intended move, and disposed and exiled the King and installed Akintoye's brother Kosoko as Oba, at exile in Europe, Akintoye met with British Authorities who had earlier banned Slavery in 1807 the British decided to support the deposed Oba to regain his throne.

With the Success of the British intervention in 1851, Akintoye was reinstalled as Oba of Lagos. In practical terms, however, the British influence over the Benin-Empire had become absolute, and then years later in 1861 Lagos was formally annexed as a British Colony.
This lead to the fight of the British and the Bini King, the leader of the Benin-Empire for years, which finally lead to the fall of the Empire and the capturing of Oba Ovonramwen.

Oba Akintoye of Lagos was the first Oba not to be buried in Benin. Prior to this all the Kings of Lagos were buried in Benin. They passed on taxes to the Oba of Benin until the British settled in.
Until today the Oba of Lagos is the head of all the Oba's in Lagos because the Bini's believe that wherever they or their offspring are they are senior. The Status of the Oba of Lagos is different from other Obas most of whom were given back their crowns and staff of office only within 40years ago.
Those who got their lands back was the original land owners they were mostly descendant of Prince Ado others children

Banky W has proposed to actress Adesua Etomi.,The Wedding party co-stars had an amazing chemistry in-screen which has translated into real life. Banky wrote

Dear Susu

We crossed paths 2 or 3 times since 2012, but I wasn't paying enough attention. Destiny was staring me right in the face and I was too caught up in my own hustle and paper chase, to know it. In June 2015 however, God brought you my way again, and this time, I really SAW you.
I was smitten by your grace, aura, and beauty. So smitten infact, that even though I didn't get to say a word to you that day (because you were seated far across the room), I immediately called my best friend @captdemuren and told him I'd found my next girlfriend. LOL. He laughed.
I asked one or two people about you.. your manager Isioma, who I'd worked with previously, and then I did some research myself. Googled you, stalked your instagram.. the whole 9 yards, and the more I found out, the more you seemed like a breath of fresh air.

Now I personally don't like being "hooked up", so I decided to approach you myself by sliding into your DM a few days later. Introduced myself, made some silly attempts to make you laugh, told you I planned to become your biggest fan, and asked if we could be friends. Thank God you laughed at my silly jokes, and thank God you graciously agreed to become my friend. At the time, I was COMPLETELY lying about only wanting to be friends, by the way.. but I figured it was a safe place to start.

Since that DM, I've spoken to you pretty much every single day for almost 2 years. Sometimes, in the morning, at night and in between. We clicked instantly, and you quickly became one of my favourite people on earth, and one of my closest friends. It got to the point where my day wouldn't quite feel right without speaking to you. I needed your friendship. I needed, and still need, the bond we share. It completes me.
I knew pretty early in the process that I wanted to spend forever with you. Prayed about it fervently. But it took you FOREVER (okay fine.. maybe a year and a half or so) to see things my way. But I kinda knew all along.. I was just waiting for you to catch up.

In that time, I got engaged to you in my "made for you" music video... and by pure coincidence, we both got cast to get married in the wedding party movie.. but all the while we were the very best of friends. I guess, in our case, real life will now imitate art.
I'm not sure what the future will bring, but I'm completely sure that I am ready to face it with you by my side. I pray that God continues to build me into the kind of man that you deserve. I love you Susu.. I feel safe and at peace with you. You mean the world to me. Thank you for agreeing to be my lover and best friend. Thank you for agreeing to be my wife.
PS: The timing of this may make some people think this is promo for another video, or a movie. It isn't.
Ironically, everyone who has seen us together in art, or in life, always insists that we have amazing chemistry. I guess you can say we have been hiding in plain sight. I fell in love with an Actress. Now my life is a movie.
In February of 2017, I asked Adesua Tolulope Oluwaseun Etomi to be my wife. She said Yes.
