The Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson and his wife Dr (Mrs) Rachel welcomed a set of quadruplets in 2016. The cute babies, a boy and three girls were delivered at a hospital in America. The babies came after many years of childlessness for the governor’s wife.


The governor and his wife who had welcomed the babies after many years of childlessness, on Sunday, organized a party to celebrate the babies' first birthday in Yenagoa, the state capital.

The beautiful quadruplets named Alexander, Alaere, Ebierewarisuode, and Edimere, were a year and three months old on Sunday.

Lagos State Government on Monday arrested 30 cart pushers for dumping refuse indiscriminately on road medians in some areas of the State in the middle of the night.

Chairman of the State’s Task Force on Environmental and Other Special Offences (Enforcement Unit), SP Olayinka Egbeyemi who spoke to journalists, said the arrest was in line with the recent ban on the activities of cart pushers and wheel barrow operators by the State Government.


Egbeyemi, who affirmed that the activities of cart pushers in the State are illegal, said investigations found them culpable in dumping refuse on the road side especially at night thereby sabotaging efforts by the Government to keep the State clean.

He said the Government is poised to go all out to prosecute any persons found to be working against the new waste management policy encapsulated in the Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI), saying the programme is designed to revolutionalise waste administration in line with global best practices when fully operational.

Couple Win £1m Payout From Nigerian Billionaire Prince After He Pulled Out Of £5m Deal To Buy Their Seven-Bed London Mansion

A couple have been handed more than £1million in compensation after suing a billionaire prince for pulling out of a deal to buy their house.

Nigerian oil baron, Prince Arthur Eze, exchanged contracts with Richard and Deborah Conway on their seven-bedroom mansion in North London in August 2015.

He agreed to pay them £5million, but the deal was 'aborted' before completion, London's High Court heard.



Mr and Mrs Conway went on to sell the property to another buyer for £4.2million and later moved into a new £2.9million home in Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire.

They sued Prince Eze by claiming damages over the lower price their house sold for and the extra costs they faced in pushing through their move to the country.

Now Judge Andrew Keyser has awarded them more than £1million in compensation for thelosses and expenses caused by the prince's pull-out.
Prince Eze, 62, is the founder of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, an oil exploration company with holdings throughout West Africa, and is believed to be worth £2billion.
He is well known as a philanthropist and has a fleet of Rolls Royces and a private jet.
Matthew Collings QC, for the Conways, previously told the judge that Prince Eze's failure to complete the purchase of the couple's Mill Hill home forced them to take out an expensive bridging loan.

Approaching retirement, Mr Conway, now 62, said he and his wife had wanted to 'pay off all our debts and start again' and had a target selling price of £5million.
But, after being left high and dry by Prince Eze, they had no choice but to sell their home in Uphill Road at a reduced price, he added.
The Conways and the Nigerian royal exchanged contracts after a 'go-between' - described as 'a chancer' by Mr Collings - told him about the seven-bedroom property.
Prince Eze did not know the middleman before he approached him about the house and 'did not trouble himself greatly about the finer details of the transaction'.
He did not view the house before making an offer and denied breach of contract, counter-suing the couple for return of his £500,000 deposit.

The prince's legal team claimed the sale contract was 'void' because the middleman had arranged a 'secret commission' to secure the deal.
He said he 'thought something funny was going on' and denied that a 'drastic fall in oil prices' prompted his decision to pull out of the deal.
The prince told the court he had 'good intentions' to buy the house, but was concerned he was not receiving the 'proper information about what was going on.'
But, finding for the Conways, Judge Keyser said the contract to buy the house was valid and ought to have been completed.
'Prince Eze had signed the contract,' said the judge, while the middleman who brokered the deal 'certainly did have the authority to instruct the solicitors to exchange contracts' on the prince's behalf.
Ruling that the deal was binding, the judge concluded: 'Prince Eze had signed... the only contractual term that remained outstanding was the completion date.'
He awarded the Conways £800,000 to cover the drop in the sale price, plus a further six-figure sum, yet to be fully calculated, to cover the extra costs they incurred.
The judge said that Prince Eze's £500,000 deposit would count towards the damages payment.
Lawyers for the Conways did not respond to attempts to contact them after the judge gave his ruling.

    Inside the world's coldest village: Siberian Outpost Reaches Near-Record Low Temperatures As Thermometer BREAKS After Recording Minus 62C

    Welcome to the coldest village on earth where the average temperature in January is -50C and inhabitant's eye lashes freeze solid mere moments after stepping outside (seen left).The remote Siberian village of Oymyakon (pictured top right and bottom right) is the coldest permanently inhabited settlement in the world. It was so icy in the Russian village that a new electronic thermometer conked out after recording a bone-cracking minus 62C.

    The official weather station at the 'pole of cold' registered minus 59C, but locals said their readings were as low as minus 67C - less than 1C off the lowest accepted temperature for a permanent settlement anywhere in the world.


    And that record breaking recording was taken in the town back in 1933.

    One villager in Oymyakon recorded a temperature of minus 67C, while others agreed that the official reading of minus 59C did not tell the full story. 

    The digital thermometer was installed last year to help Oymyakon market itself to tourists, but it gave up the ghost at minus 62C.

    'It broke because it was too cold,' reported The Siberian Times.

    The umbrella body of cattle breeders in Nigeria, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), on Sunday said it lost 1,000 of its members and two million cows to local militia allegedly armed by Benue State Government.
    Disclosing this in a press conference in Abuja, National Secretary of the Association, Baba Usman Ngeljarma, said the human losses included women, children and the aged.

    “Only very recently we have lost over 1,000 people including children, women and the aged and over 2 million cattle to this gang. We are more disturbed today as this state government hides under the self created crises and blackmailing the Federal Government into releasing to them security operatives to achieve their illegal and wicked agenda on our people”, MACBAN said.

    Full Text of the Press Conference by the National Secretary of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) on Sunday, January 14, 2018 



    Members of the general public are already aware of the burning national security challenges with violent hostilities affecting pastoralist community in different parts of the country.

    These very unfortunate crises have since degenerated into dangerously intolerable level of killings, maiming and unprecedented destruction of property. More worrisome is the fact that the pastoralist community which has been the main target of the offensive is also deliberately being pointed as the attackers at the same time. This horrible accusation in both intent and purpose is meant not only to smear the image of the herdsmen as a peace loving community, but to also allow further criminal justification to carry out total ethnic cleansing on our members, as witnessed in different parts of the country.

    Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria as the premier pastoralist body in the country has remained in unimaginable pains on daily basis as we receive communication of gory details of attacks, maiming and destruction of our members across the country.

    For the avoidance of doubt, we totally condemn violence, in whatever form anywhere in Nigeria and by whoever. It is important to note that the pastoralist share a long relationship with many communities in the country, as they carry out their legitimate occupation of nomadism/pastoralism; carrying along their lives, families and possessions making it impossible to foment trouble.

     Our disposition as the immediate neighbours to almost all Nigerians does not only make us vulnerable but also susceptible to baseless accusations by promoters of violence, despite us being the worst victims.
    Related imageWe are however not denying the fact that, as any other community in the country, we are also battling with misguided and criminally motivated elements who indulge in social vices and criminal activities. However, these few miscreants do not represent the mainstream of herdsmen.

     In fact our case is worsen by long years of exclusion suffered by the Fulani herdsmen as the most neglected community in the country, thereby depriving us of so many things.

     The current situation in our opinion is fuelled by the draconian laws put in place by some state governments with the singular aim of chasing our people out of the states simply for ethnic hatred. The anti-open-grazing law in Benue, Taraba and other states is nothing more than a symbol of intolerance and do not in any way intend to solve the farmers/grazers conflict as the livestock breeders interest is neither captured in the law nor in its implementation mechanism.
    Related image While as a body we are not against any law that can engender peace, create societal harmony and stability, we cannot oblige any self-centred regulation with primordial sentiments based on injustice, intolerance and infringement of people’s fundamental rights. It is no longer hidden that to achieve these, some State Governments are sponsoring ethnic militia against our people, recruiting and arming locals to kill our people and rustle their livestock as seen recently in Benue and Taraba States.

     Two days ago, the media was a washed with the story of Tiv militia gang arrested in Taraba State by the Army who confessed that over 1,000 of them were recruited and dangerously armed by the Benue State Government to kill the Fulani herdsmen. No doubt the activities of these criminal gangs are putting our people in unbearable pains as they operate with the greatest impunity under the protection of the State Government.

     The trend of attacks on our defenceless members by ethnic militias oiled by a deliberate profiling through coordinated media campaigns against our members, to say the least, is the worst crime against humanity.

    What started as communal clashes has since metamorphosed into a coordinated operation to exterminate our people. From the killings in Plateau State, to southern Kaduna to Benue, Taraba and Adamawa among others the story is only worsening by the day.

    Let me refresh your mind on the unprovoked attack on the Fulani communities on the Mambilla Plateau in Taraba State. The attack, which took place around June last year on the sedentary pastoralist Fulani families who have practiced the much deceitfully advocated ranching for decades left about 700 people killed, over 20,000 cattle rustled or killed with over 300 communities burnt down. In Lau, 24 Fulanis were also killed. In Numan, Adamawa State, about 82 of our women and children were slaughtered in cold blood by Bachama militias. In Kajuru, Kaduna State, 96 were killed.

     All these were committed in a span of 7 months, beginning in June 2017 to January, 2018. All the killings were done by ethnic groups who see themselves as indigenes and the Fulanis as marauders, even where the latter have been settled for nearly a hundred years. However, up till today nobody is arrested even when the perpetrators are well known to the victims. The pastoralists have been abandoned, unfortunately, to their predators.

     In conclusion ladies and gentlemen, our story is a very sad and painful one. While we have suffered decades of neglect by the government with attendant consequences, the current national gang up against the herdsmen is not only endangering our survival as a people but also justifying action against us, no matter how crude and inhuman it is.

     After reviewing the current challenges as they affect our members we are of the humble opinion that following steps can go a long way not only in dousing tension in the country but will also go a long way in reducing the perennial conflict to the barest minimum.

    1. We confirm the position of His Royal Highness the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, that in spite of the fact that 732 of our people were killed in Mambila and 82 women and children killed in Numan and nobody was arrested. We hereby demand for the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators of these heinous crimes without further.

    2. We further state that the refutal of the Emir’s position by the Taraba State Governor is merely a continuation of his desperate act of hiding the state government’s involvement and protection of the perpetrators of these acts. 

    3. Pay compensation to the victims of all crises to reduce their level of suffering.

    4. The Federal Government should create a Federal Ministry of Livestock Development to attend to the multidimensional needs of the industry as is obtained in many countries and the enactment of a national law to carter for the peculiar needs of pastoralists in particular and the livestock subsector in general since the mischievous anti open grazing laws promulgated by some states have woefully failed to address the contentious issues.

    5. We call for a federal judicial commission of inquiry into all these killings so as to unravel the truth and the offenders.

    6. We wish to register our appreciation to all those who have refused to be blinded by sentiment and are standing on the path of truth and justice especially the governors of Bayelsa, Plateau, Kogi and Nasarawa states, in the face of these complicated circumstances.

    7. We disassociate ourselves from any other group or individual that is out to foment trouble in the country.

    8. We also welcome the Federal Government’s current resolve to address the lingering crises and submit ourselves for any positive participation to restore mutual and harmonious relationship in the country.

    9. We demand for immediate disarmament of all illegally armed militias across the country in the interest of peace, security and stability. Finally, we condemn in totality any attempt of branding herdsmen as terrorists as is being clamoured from certain quarters. We view this as the continuation of the hate agenda on our people and a very dangerous trend for the country.

    According to National Post, a car in Santa Ana, California, went airborne after crashing into a divider, and into the upper floor of a storey building it went.
    The car had two passengers, one managing to get away while the other had to wait more than an hour for authorities to stabilize the vehicle.

    The Orange County fire department took photos of the accident showing a white sedan wedged into the building, the rear of the car skewed.
    The fire department said the car had been traveling at a high speed, coming from a side street and slamming into a divider.
    The occupants of the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

    President Buhari has been accused of sending officials of the Department of State Security DSS to arrest the Senior pastor of the El-Buba Outreach Ministry, Prophet Isa El-Buba who while preaching in his church a few weeks ago, condemned President Buhari for failing to arrest Fulani herdsmen carrying out attacks in various parts of the country. 
    The Facebook page of the clergyman yesterday evening raised an alarm that some DSS officials allegedly on President Buhari's order, were outside the church premises waiting to arrest the clergyman. The post read

    Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday paid a visit to the family of his late wife, Stella Obasanjo, at Iruekpen, Edo state. The former president was received by the former first lady's parents, her father, Christopher Abebe who is almost 100years and her mother, Theresa who is almost 90 and other family members. The former first lady got married to Obasanjo in 1976. They have a son together, Muyiwa. She died on October 23rd 2005 in Malaga, Spain from complications from a tummy tuck surgery.

    A North Carolina mother murdered her two adorable YouTube star children before killing herself in triple murder-suicide horror.
    Christina Treadway, 34, slaughtered 7-year-old son Isaiah Miller and 3-year-old Iliyah Miller in Charlotte, N.C. Saturday night before leaping from the Old Branch Road Bridge at Interstate 485.

    Christina Treadway killed Isaiah Miller, seven, and three-year-old Iliya Miller then took her own life on Saturday.
    The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says they were called at around 5.40pm on Saturday after the woman committed suicide. Christina who worked as a game-day employee for the NFL football team the Carolina Panthers, was pronounced dead at the scene after jumping from the Old Gun Branch Road bridge and landing onto Interstate 485.

    Police have also located the father of the slain siblings and he is not a person of interest in the horrific crime.

    On her popular YouTube channel, Treadway described herself as ‘a mom who loves her kids and glam.’ She has about 23 videos of herself and young family in the past year on the video-sharing site, with the adorable videos of her children singing and having fun.
    The slain children's biological father has launched a GoFundMe page to help pay for their funerals. So far, over $4,000 has been raised.

    Fashola Cancels Dangote’s Power Concession Deal Over Millions In Unpaid Debt

    Power, Works and Housing Minister, Babatunde Fashola, in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, has disclosed the termination of the concession contracts for the management of Fiber Optic Network of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

    The contract was with Alheri Engineering Company Limited, largely owned by African richest man, Aliko Dangote; and, Phase3 Telecom Limited, linked to an in-law of former Minister of Communications, Cornelius Adebayo.



    Fashola, in the letter dated October 31, 2017, with reference number FMP/OPS/05/1 obtained by THEWILL faulted the process of the concession insisting that there was breach of agreement, as well as conflict of interest in the entire transactions.

    “I write to respectfully draw your Excellency’s attention to ongoing efforts by the management of the Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN) to enforce its termination of two failed Fiber Network concession Agreements, recover its outstanding concession fees in the sum of usd 75,500,000.00 million from the two concessionaires, and take position of and commercialize its critical fiber optic infrastructure, which are essential for the stability and optimization of the national grid,” Fashola wrote.

    He informed the President that going ahead with the concession would affect the stability, optimization and continued expansion of the national grid, which, in turn, will affect communication in the country generally.

    “The Concessionaires were to pay a concession fee of $40 million each for the use of TCN’s asset to service their customers,” he continued.

    “The concession fee was not just for the right of way upon which the transmission lines are constructed, but also for the use of the fiber optic network which was built by TCN along with the transmission lines.

    “The agreement also provided for shelter fees of 2.5 per cent on gross revenue. Since 2006, Phase3 and Alheri have paid only $2 million and $3.5 million concession fees respectively.”

    The Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has said that Nigerians are inadvertently pushing the nation towards another civil war through hate speeches, wickedness and massive killings going on in the country.

    The governor said the nation was lucky to come out of the first civil war but stressed that Nigeria might not be lucky if it was plunged into another round of civil war now.


    According to a statement in Osogbo by the governor’s media aide, Mr. Sola Fasure, Aregbesola said this at the 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration on Monday.

    Making an allusion to the widespread killings by the Fulani herdsmen, the governor sued for caution, saying it had become imperative for every Nigerian to work assiduously for the peace of the nation by avoiding anything that could lead to war.



    He said, “Through carelessness, thoughtlessness, selfishness, wickedness and hate mongering, the country may unwittingly be pushing itself towards another war.

    “War is a very bad business. It is costly, deadly and ruinous, even for a supposedly winner.

    “It is worse for the loser. Indeed, all are losers in a war. The resources, human and material, used to prosecute wars could have been used for the development of the people. The lesson of history is that nations and people emerged from wars weakened, devastated, poor and vulnerable.



    “The worst part is that though a nation’s decision to go to war or not may be easy before the outbreak of hostilities, it is more difficult and sometimes impossible to decide to stop a war; thus we have prolonged and sometimes an indeterminate war. This is the hard part.

    “We see the devastations of war in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon (and closer home) in Liberia and Sierra Leone. While some like Liberia and Sierra Leone are fortunate to put the war behind them, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen and Iraq have found it difficult to stop their own wars.


    “Lebanon lost its Paradise and Pearl of the Middle East status to the United Arab Emirates. The mutual antagonism and distrust that the Nigerian Civil War bred are still with us.”


    Aregbesola described peace as the foundation for economic and political development while stressing that no development could take place in a crisis situation.

    He said Nigeria was placed in a strategic position to lead the African continent out of backwardness and crisis, saying the nation could not afford to fail in discharging its responsibilities.

    The governor called on Nigerians, especially the youths, to break away from the culture of dependence on the free money from crude oil. He urged them to apply their education to solving problems facing humanity, saying that would be the way to make sustainable wealth because oil would soon lose its importance.

    He said, “In the interest of the black race, Nigeria must not just exist, it must be strong to be able to lead the continent to achieve its manifest destiny.



    “The greatest riches of the continent are domiciled in the Great Lakes Region comprising Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.

    “Nigeria should be strong and provide leadership with South Africa and the leaders of the region to be able to develop these riches for the development of the people of the continent and for Africa to be able to take her place in the world

    A 17-year-old lady identified as Ogechukwu who was arrested while pregnant alongside others by her employer for allegedly stealing in Delta state - has lost her twin babies after surgery in a hospital. According to the CEO Behind Bars imitative Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, who helped in securing her bail, the young lady was allegedly drugged and raped by her sister's boyfriend who got her pregnant some months ago.


    According to her custodian, Harrison, the young lady lost her babies after she was registered in a government hospital which left her in pain for days. According to reports, when the doctors opened her womb, they discovered that the twin were baby were lifeless..



    It was reported about how a six (6) months pregnant lady identified as Ogechukwu was arrested alongside others by her employer for allegedly stealing in Delta state. The 17-year-old girl who was released from police detention on Tuesday (yesterday) - was charged to court today where she was granted bail and released by a magistrate.

    According to the CEO Behind Bars imitative Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, who helped in securing her bail, the young lady's story is painful as she was reportedly drugged by her own sister and raped by the sister's boyfriend and now she's pregnant. 


    Prince Harrison also revealed that plans are underway to arrest one of the perpetrators in Lagos state.
